Maeve
Therapeutic Floof
She/Her
Okay okay, she's not actually a clinician. But she sits in on Amanda's sessions, and most clients report serotonin increases in her presence; that's gotta count for something!

Clients must sign a Therapy Pet Release as part of their Therapy Agreement to have Maeve out during their session.

A session with Maeve usually includes an excited greeting, her jumping on the couch for a more thorough hello (sniffs and licks included), and then her finding a spot to sleep for most of the session.
Maeve's Story
Maeve was born in April 2020, making her Amanda's "COVID baby." She has 7 other furry siblings at home, but is definitely the smartest. She loves tiny tennis balls, used socks, peanut butter, and swimming.
She's 8lbs of fluff that gets professionally groomed monthly - Amanda cleans the couch multiple times a day, vacuums weekly, and has an air filter on 24/7. Those allergic to dogs have only complained of reactions after they make the mistake of petting her! A lint roller is available in the lobby, if your clothes get too furry.

Maeve has excellent work manners. Mostly she loves to nap and chew on her bones during sessions. But when clients tell her "up" while patting the couch, she's happy to join them for pets! She is highly treat motivated, so it doesn't take much to redirect her or reward her good behaviors in the office. She's quiet, even when neighbor dogs are loud. She won't chew anything that's not for her, and is perfectly potty trained.
Noises from outside when the window is open can freak her out - it's the only time she might bark. Or when someone is on the neighboring roof - can't blame her!

She steals the heart of everyone who pets her, and even "small dog haters" end up falling in love. Turns out therapy sessions are just way better with her around!
